Made for the demanding listener, the HD 660 S surpasses the exceptional performance of its predecessor, the legendary HD 650. With a crisp bass, excellent mid-frequency response, and a gentle, pleasantly natural treble, the HD 660 S has an expressiveness that immerses you in every emotion and nuance of music. Still, it always stays exceptionally accurate and transparent.
Cutting-edge Sennheiser technology
The HD 660 S features a new transducer design developed by Sennheiser. This results in improved control of the diaphragm movements thanks to a specially manufactured precision stainless steel fabric, which is adapted to the contour of the diaphragm. Extremely light aluminum voice coils ensure the highest impulse fidelity. The transducers are carefully selected and paired by hand to ensure consistently narrow (±1 dB) tolerances.
Supreme connectivity
The HD 660 S has been created to enjoy music in supreme quality and from many different audio sources. Thanks to its low impedance it also offers reference-class fidelity with hi-res mobile players. Naturally, the HD 660 S reveals its full potential when it is connected to the balanced outputs of a dedicated headphone amplifier such as the HDV 820 or to the balanced output of a mobile digital audio player. Accordingly, it comes with a choice of cables for just about any occasion. All cables are made of highly conductive OFC copper, featuring very low handling noise and sturdy para-aramid reinforcement.

Everything about the HD 660 S makes listening a pure pleasure – not least its strong yet lightweight open construction. The elliptical ear cups are shaped to follow the anatomy of the ear, while thick padding on the headband and the replaceable ear cushions guarantee hours and hours of listening in supreme comfort.

Amazing pair of headphone, well worth the money, sound is great. Just as good/even better then the HD800 . Recommend using a good dac ans out to drive it to get the best out of the headphone !

Increased my enjoyment in listening to high quality music, and that's just through the laptop headphone socket. Listening to 'LFO - LFO' for example, the first tune I play with a new set of speakers in a room, or to test headphones, the bass is a lot tighter than my previous set of ATH M50X and music sounds wider and more involving with a braod range of music that i've tested. Likewise, listening to poor quality recordings I can hear the impefections and lack of quality better, so perhaps not ideal for listening to low quality mp3s. I have a couple of Hi Resolution audio players and studio audio interfaces which i've yet to try with these, so hoping they can squeeze a little extra out of a track and that I can use them for creating music. It's good to be able to power a high quality set of headphones from a laptop headphone port though, so not wholley essential to use a DAC headphone amp, but that will probably be my next move for listening at leisure.
Cabling and connectors seem high quality too. My only slight disappointment really is that the Y-split in the cable to the earpieces is a little too close to my chin and sometimes I have to push a connector back into the earpiece when I start a listening session, perhaps after pulling the cables slightly with my chin when taking them off, so that might affect long term durabilty.

Great sound. A little too much clamping force makes them somewhat uncomfortable to wear. It is however getting better after some use and I expect it to sort itself out. Very fast delivery and an over all nice purchase process.
